The film and TV industry continues to reflect deep inequalities — from access to opportunities, to who gets to tell stories and shape narratives. Black creatives face systemic barriers at every level, including bias, exclusion from networks, and a lack of sustained support. This isn’t just an issue of representation — it’s about whose voices are valued, whose experiences are seen, and who holds power in shaping culture. Slingshot Creative exists to address these imbalances by working toward a fairer, more equitable industry where Black talent can thrive, lead, and be heard.
